How Old Are You? ... 29?

I have an absolutely fabulous Mother.

She has taught me all I need to know to someday be a fabulous mother myself.

She has taught me the true meaning of sacrifice.

She has shown by example how to love unconditionally.


She is intelligent. She reads like crazy-pretty much anything.


She is always willing to do fun stuff with us- like go to get Harry Potter books at midnight the night they come out.

I love when she finds something funny and she will try to read it to us but she is laughing so hard she can't even get the words out!

Happy Birthday Marmee! I admire you so much! I hope I can be as good of a Mom someday!

I love you a million slices of chocolate cake!

Waves of Sunshine

Since I know everyone is just dying to know what I have been doing since I graduated, I decided to share.
So far I have

- Watched seasons 1 & 2 of Friday Night Lights
- Learned to drive stick shift*
- Read or re-read The Age of Innocence, The Four Feathers, Outliers, Knights of the Hill Country, Dandelion Wine, Tangerine
-looked for grad schools
-applied to countless jobs
-spent a week in Palm Springs
-worked at Down East and one memorable night at Home Depot
-danced to the Beach Boys

I know exciting! Hopefully I will find a full time job soon!

*if you want some good stories ask my mom about stalling in the McDonald's drive thru...oh yeah it is good.

Eye Contact

This is feeling a lot like my life at the moment. Except for the whole cute friend and neighbor bit. Just keeping my options open!

Bangs or No Bangs?

I have been trying to decide if I should cut bangs for several months now. I was thinking kind of like this:

My Mom says since I am now a college graduate, I should blog more. And what could be more exciting then a night with my scooter!
