Fauxhawk Anyone?

I went to the National Portrait Gallery/American Art Museum. New favorite. I only went on the first floor because I want to save the second floor for other days. I like to spread things out for the longest possible enjoyment.

Mostly I took a picture of this sculpture because the first thing I thought when I saw it was 'huh early fauxhawk'. I am cool like that. Plus look at his piercing stare. It is like he is daring me to make fun of him.

The Folk Art area is awesome! I honestly want to make something like this!

I like the idea of making art out of things that are already there. Green before it was cool to be Green.

Sadness, Loneliness. Beautiful.

She founded the Girl Scout program. As a girl scout once myself, I felt instant kinship. Also her dress is real pretty.

Do the gentleman with the cool hairdo have a name? He does look prety intent. Oh, and by the way (John), I really liked the postcard you sent me last week. I am using it as my bookmark.

You were a girl scout? Where was I? Why wasn't I ever a girl scout?

I like the folk art too. Thanks for sharing. Also, the dress and the lonely cross.

Yes I was once a girl scout. Selling cookies, the whole thing. I even have the patches to prove it. It was before I was 8, so it isn't surprising you don't remember.
