I love snow cones. Sweet deliciousness. I always say that summer hasn't truly begun until I have had a tiger's blood snow cone.  And I had one last night. Because in Palm Springs it is summer all year round. Doesn't that look so so GOOD?

My roommate Emily and I performed at our ward talent show tonight!

That's Not Natural*

I am fighting a losing battle with my roommates. Every morning I go into the living room and open the blinds. Why? To let in the natural sunlight. It is the dead of winter, barely getting above 5 degrees most days. I need that sunlight, what little I can get.

My roommates do not feel the way I do. As soon as I leave for class, they close the blinds. Then when I come back I open them. Repeat several times a day. My one roommate says she doesn't like people looking in at her. I would gladly let her borrow my Nacho mask if she doesn't want anyone to know she lives here.

I will not give up. Natural will win out in the end!

I think I have Scurvy

It is a good thing I am going home today, so my mom can look up my symptoms in her big book of medical knowledge. I feel better already.

Just Dance

So I went to this dance last night, 80's themed, with a bunch of my friends. While looking through the pictures afterward, I just had to laugh. I make the same face in every picture. Behold...

Last Fall, when I was trying to decide what to take for my last semester, I registered for Social Dance. It was an attempt to do something out of my comfort zone, WAY out of my comfort zone. I soon forgot about it figuring I had months until I had to worry.

Now that I have actually attended the class I realized there are several things needed(they should have put them in the pre-requisites)

Coordination

Since I possess little of either, I struggle.

Or maybe I struggle because my teacher lines the guys up on one side and the girls up on the other, then the guys come and choose which girl they want to dance with. Middle school gym class nightmare all over again.

At least I have a sense of humor and I smell good. Today, in class, a guy told me I smelled like peppermint. I think that was a compliment.

Somebody loves Me...

And they left me a fruit basket!

Entertain me

People complain that I don't post enough. Which is true because I can never think of anything clever or funny to post about.

And then it came to me. Videos of people dancing or doing silly things are always a crowd favorite.

Hopefully this video gives you at least a few seconds of joy. Then you can feel relieved that you are a much better dancer. I love to boost people's self-esteems!

17. Her first job was at the DI. She would hide things she wanted. Actually one thing-a soccer pin.

I got an A in my Senior Colloquium.

I can not even express how happy this makes me.

I thought, many times during the semester, that I was developing an ulcer because of this class.

I whined to my roommates every time I had to go to class(sorry Rachel!)

Good to see that it was worth it!

Oh the Weather Outside is Frightful

It has been snowing all day, so Gideon, Sarah, and I took a walk to the library.

When tromping through the snow, I always wear my man boots.

And my cute hat that offers no protection from the fierce wind. But it is super cute.

Gideon led the way,

while Sarah threw snow at my back.

Then Gideon decided to join her, realizing he had been missing all the fun while clearing the path.
Oh, he is having such a good time!


We finally arrived at our destination and after about a half hour headed home.


Gideon, that smart boy, decided to put snow in his hat on the way home. He said it wasn't cold but his head did burn and itch. Frostbite anyone?

Weary after their journey, Sarah and Gideon enjoy a brief rest in the snow.

The journey was successful. Now I have some books to read over Christmas break!

Did you know

that there are 22 James Bond films? 22! I thought there were only 10 or so. Since I learned this compelling fact, I have been doing a little research. Cause that is what college students are good at.




Sean Connery is the original Bond. He appeared in six Bond films, including one as an "older" Bond.

George Lazenby only appeared in one Bond film. According to one source, he was the youngest and tallest Bond. There is much controversy over his portayal of Bond including a voiceover.

Roger Moore is the longest serving and the oldest to play Bond. His James Bond portrayal is considered the most "light-hearted."

Timothy Dalton returned James Bond to a more dark and serious side. He performed most of his stunts by himself. Impressive. I think he has the worst hair of all the Bonds. Maybe that is why he was only in two movies.

Pierce Brosnan was the fifth actor to paly James Bond. GoldenEye, which he starred in, was the most successful Bond film.

Daniel Craig is the most recent James Bond. He is said to want to bring a more "emotional depth" to the character. And admittedly I have only seen a James Bond movie with him in it.

So there you go. All the information you would ever need to know(or didn't need-either way) about James Bond and the men who portrayed him.
